Thanks sir. That means a lot coming from someone who has one of my most favorite SAS gmt400 builds.Every time I look at your build I have this little bit of regret not picking up a diesel. LS is awesome but rattle box diesel is awesome too.
How is Frank doing?Diesel is always more awesomer, I am now a diesel convert for life.
Truggin right along, I did about 250 miles yesterday going 70+ and over a mountain pass twice and got 18.4 mpg. Never had a hiccup, though the abs module has a loose wire somewhere...How is Frank doing?

To be honest, I have no idea what the specifics are of when that heater cycles. I just know I don’t like the exposed wiresGlad you're moving forward.
Do you actually use that fuel heater? I understand the concept, but the fuel grades have changed so much since our trucks were made. I haven't yet had an issue with my unheated fuel filters, even at -20*F.
Though I'm not saying it's a bad thing...

My cost at work for one was about a 1/4th of what a plastic tank was. Also, the one from my work carries a lifetime warranty as well. Why no plastic tank?
Oh fine be frugal and all that grown up stuff. My cost at work for one was about a 1/4th of what a plastic tank was. Also, the one from my work carries a lifetime warranty as well.
Well I did something right. It runs. Still having some timing issues, which was expected since the pump was starved for so long. Still going to diag from this point now that I know the fuel system is working properly.

It really is quite intoxicating.Oh, that sound. It almost justifies all the headache, eh?
