2000 Silverado 1500 2wd 5/7 drop- Prodigal Son has returned.

Picked this up from my dads house this weekend. Semi-float 6 lug 14 bolt with 4.10's and posi. It was my bothers plans to put it in the truck, but never finished the project. This has no priority right now, but will once I get to the point of messing with a turbo or 2.

Getting new shoes tomorrow. Found my right front and left rear tires had slipped belts in them. Those tires were toast. Also took a picture of the frame notch since the rear wheels and tires are off. Home made job my brother did a few years back

Inner tie rods were shot on this thing, so I swapped them tonight. Rides much better. A lot tighter and no more mini-death wobble. Only casualty was my finger.

Should I pop it?

Swapped out the old dated lower valance for a new black one with round fog lights. These came on 05-06 Z71 suburbans and Tahoes so it bolts right in. I think it updated the truck a lot. Plus the black goes better with the rest of the black on the truck.

The best picture I had of the old front end.

This thing failed me as a DD Thursday night. Crapped a LH upper ball joint. Found there were cords also showing on the outside edge of that tire too, so now it’s at a buddy’s shop getting the entire front end gone through and an alignment and tires.

Picked up a used set of cooper discoverers at work for stupid cheap.
