Clean fluid is important. Ps should be changed every few years depending on mileage

Well it's starting to leak right where the c10 started before blowing out. At the pitman arm...
So I need to toon it off, so any kind of power steering will do? Im thinking one with "stop leak"..

I'm heading out today to grab some, just want to make sure I get what I need

I would. It's easier than having a filter restric fuel at an inconvenient time where it won't run down the road.

Yeah I always do all the filters. Especially if you're only servicing it once a year. Fuel additive is a good idea. Stanadyne makes a good one. There's lots of them out there. Anything that adds lubricity back to the fuel will help your injectors and pump stay happy longer.

I'm at 6000 miles since last fuel and oil change.

I always ran Lucas in my diesels. Always 1mpg more and never had an injector or pump issue between the vp, cp3, or cp4.

I liked the Stanadyne cuz it comes in bottles that work per full tank. There's other versions too. I used to get it at Tractor Supply.

Chiming in about additives.
I have had the fleet at my work using Schaeffer's since 2010. I tested it in just two trucks for a month, which gave me enough data to persuade the boss to switch, considering that we buy fuel by tanker load. It made a very noticeable difference in injector longevity.
My son and I have been using their products as well.

I have heard good reviews of Lucas products and would definitely use those if I didn't have such a good connection to Schaeffer's.

I use the optilube xl. Bought a gallon and a couple of small 2oz bottles that I keep behind the seat. It's just lubrication - no cetane, no water, no de gelling - dont need it in az.

I guess either 1 or 2oz is fine

I'd just do the 2 oz per tank. Every time you fill up.
