2004 Silverado Crew Cab Solid Axle Swap (LLY with ZF 6 speed)

I wonder if a cowl hood would have the same effect?
Nope. Tried it. The air makes a small downward swirl behind the cowl and actually pushes air into the hood. Hence the name, Cowl INDUCTION Hood. Did some smoke testing decades ago to prove it for a high school science fair. Got an "A".

The base of the hood is usually a positive pressure area. Negative pressure is usually more towards the front of the hood depending on the shape. Look at the old gt 40's, Ferrari f50's ect for drawing air out. Some cars even have a slight lip in front of the vents to help.

I wanted to update the thread again. We took another camping trip with the trailer up all the hills on the way to Payson again with higher temps this time. Everything was still great, pulling hills at 70mph instead of 35 with temps below 215.

We'll see how it does once temps peak 100 or 110.

Didn't click on link, but it is confusing front ? Rear? Ford?

Me would be smaller rears, then maybe a larger master. You could sorce a late 80's early 90's p30 master if need larger. Those were jb8 rpo code hydro boost.

Well, I just realized I'm posting in the wrong thread...
