We'll seems I just can't leave good enough alone lol.
The Blazer worked better than expected last year but, time to drop some more $$$$ in the K5.
Started by tearing the front 60 apart to replace the worn ARB o-rings only to find I had a chipped ring gear . So, ordered new gear set and while I was at it decided to upgrade the rest of the front, including Yukon axles inner/ outer (35 spline) and a new set of drive flanges from NWF. With that done I also added a set of 300M U-joints from Bobby longfield.
Then I moved on to the motor. The 350 has been a great motor but not enough snort, ssssoooo I just finished swapping in a Injected (TBI) 454.
Then came the tranny, the built 700R4 is getting a new valve body from TCI (reverse manual with compression breaking). The 203/205 are getting new seals/ bearing. as for the rest of the blazer, gutted the dash in favor of some newer gauges (auto temp) to better montor the motor and air. I also removed the power doors in favor of a set of manual that will be pinned for easy removal. A pair of tube doors are also in the works to go along with a 6 point cage in the next month.
Here are a couple shots of how it is lookin as well as some of the parts being added.
I will try to post up on the progress as it happens.

well i went to change my gear oil annnd...got a new motor... haha nice work man.

Looks good. Are you going from a TBI 350 to TBI 454? If so, it should just be a few connector changes and a PROM change for the injection system to work....right?

what axle shafts are them? and where is the pic of the longfeilds? i'm planning on ordering a set of them in the next few days, so could you post up your thoughts on them when you get them-thanx-jayson

Should be pretty nice when it's done though (I hope)

Yes I'm going from a TBI 350 too a 454 TBI.
That part of the swap is done.........
But I'm still trying to find the right headers for my truck (shortys)
Anyone know were I could get a set from? maybe a part #

Id show you pics but my site is down and my stupid hosting co is not responding to my emails. They are about to loose a customer.

List keeps growing
Adding full Hydro with PSC ram and orbital. To finish off the sttering I ordered a pair of arms from NWF (those guys are awsome to deal wit, highly recomended). Heres a couple more shots of my 300-m u-joints and the steering parts (minus the clevis ends as they were back ordered).

specs on 454? hp, tq, which TBI are you running?

Don't know the specs on the 454. It's a stock 454 out of a 88 chevy 1 ton.
And I'm running the factory TBI set-up that came with the truck.
I'll have to do a bit of diggen to see what the stock spec are on the motor.
Don't have any plans for the motor this year other than a set of headers.

Hey Steve _Kibbe
Here is a picture of my rear spacers....
they are made out of a solid piece of 4140 HTS.
They look scary, but I'm not to worried about them as my rig is no high flying truck..... To heavy for that :haha:

Hey Jay.
I didn't have to do any grinding on my axles to instal the yokes.
Everything fit together like a glove :D
Very happy with everything so far...Just have to wait and see how they hold up to the power and tires......
