I appreciate the input. I like those fenders and bumper who makes them? That's pretty much what I'm going for for 33-35" tires.
Last time I saw an Early Bronco D44 for sale, complete with disc brakes, ready to go it was just under $5kSo I'm wrong about this and I know I'm wrong. The CJ6 was the first long wheelbase Jeep. My "next best" dream Jeep is a CJ6 with Early Bronco D44/9in, D300 and a 4.0L/AW4 swap.
Then came the CJ8 and the TJU.

Best I can tell they're the same 1.31" 30 spline inner shafts with 760-X joints as our K5s. They just use the D30 outers and knuckles. The rubi front Dana 44 is really only a 44 ring and pinion, shafts, joints and knuckles etc are all Dana 30. Beware of the factory rubi lockers….the rear is a limited slip when it’s unlocked and the helical gears inside like to grenade and jam the locker.
It seems to be OK so far. There's some asshattery that needs cleaned up from previous owners but that's expected with a 20 year old vehicle. How’s the electrical? Not to jinx it but my buddy’s TJ had a bunch of electrical gremlins.
Knew a guy in Northern Michigan who had a Rubi on 31x11.5-16 LTB’s and wheeled the heck out of it.
I read that as hemi and thought that escalated quickly. My heim arrived so I could install the track bar this evening and FINALLY got to drive this thing!
Its still wearing 30" tires! You’ll have those burnt off in no timeWe're not there yet!Its still wearing 30" tires!
