I have been presented with an offer I cant refuse! If enough people place orders (at least 75, but 100+ would guarantee the run), Can-Can and Kim are willing to do a 2009 Calendar for the Sub-Culture! So I need 13 spectacular photos of your Burbs doing what they do best: show the world that full size isnt good enough. You gotta do it with an XXL to be top dog! Just like the regular calendar, entries will be screened for the following requirements, then voted on for the final product. I have cut/pasted the rules from Can-can's original posting. Please note the new email address if your submitted pics previously.
Rules:
1. You must be a paying member in good standing.
2. Pics need to be HI-RES, with a minimum resolution of 1200x1600 pixels. Whenever possible, try to submit pics taken "long side down" (in other words, try to fill most of the pic with your rig, not backround) so we can maximize page usage. Grainy or out-of-focus pics will not be accepted.
3. Along with your pic, I'll need a short list of your truck's specs, in this order:
Year, make and model, motor, tranny, TC, front and rear axles, gears, lift size and brand, tire size and brand, wheel size and brand(if applicable), any "extras" that you think set your truck apart from others.
As well, please include the location where the pic was taken.
4. We are looking for cool action shots with awesome background scenery. Poser shots will be considered if the background is too good to ignore. If you've purchased a calendar in the past, you know what we're looking for. Keep in mind that this is not a beauty contest- I look forward to receiving pics of ALL KINDS OF RIGS, not just modded-out monsters. In fact, last year, as usual, we were short on submissions by Sub and 1st Gen owners.
(I've seen the Burb sections and I think we can change this!)
5. We will be accepting submissions until November 1, and although this is not first-come, first served, I would appreciate it if you guys could send your stuff into me sooner than later. We have 13 spots to fill, including the cover page, and I intend to include a few honorable mentions on the back page this year......
6. We have reserved the month of August as a tribute for Jason Payne(willyswanter). It's the least we can do..........
Anyhow, you can submit your pics to [email protected]. Please include your username AND real name, and mention something about "CK5 calendars" in the title.
That's about all I can think of. Like I said before, many of you have bought these calendars in the past, and know what kind of pic is calendar-worthy. So when you head out on the trails this summer, be sure to keep your cameras handy- the next pic you take might appear in next year's Rigs of CK5 calendar!!!!
