Definitely. I have a big truck junkyard here that has lots of awesome finds. Someone somewhere is gonna tip over a 4x4 bucket truck. And I'll buy the axles lol

Terrastar Dana 70 on top picture definitely bigger.
Yeah the couple videos I watched showed that they were all(4500,5500,6500) pretty light on the gvwr. I think the one difference I saw if I remember correctly was that there were different Allison trans options for the 6500. It also might have the 70 front but I'm not sure on that. Either way I want one with a flatbed for my daily.Local dealer has a couple 4x4 6500's now, among other things. They seem to be set up the same as a 5500, same spring packs, axles, etc. The only difference I noticed is the 6500 I looked at had rear shocks, a front sway bar and the front tires were a highway tread. Only 22K gvw I think it was.

Thats what I've mostly driven. We had one we called the donkey puncher.I've driven a lot of the older van-cabbed trucks with an empty flat bed, I still would like one of the new ones as a daily.

Because after driving it felt your kidneys had been punched by a donkey.
i have seen them 03-09 4500-6500 with air or fixed seat . i my self have driven both and fixed seat is a lot worse .
It's funny you mention that. I absolutely hate the air seats, lol. I'll take the standard seat any day because they have a lot more padding in them. Everyone has different tastes I guess.
air seat sucked if the lever was not flipped to let it swing front to back with the air up and down .It's funny you mention that. I absolutely hate the air seats, lol. I'll take the standard seat any day because they have a lot more padding in them. Everyone has different tastes I guess.
try finding replacment seat parts for the fabric and foam on these is fun . . .This is my '09 crew cab company truck, it has the air seat. About a month ago, I couldn't take it anymore, so I took apart the seat bottom and stuffed a 2" layer of additional foam in there. It looks all poofy and weird, but it's somewhat comfy now.
