2021 Leaked Bronco pic...

I really don't. Of course I don't get the blazer thing either.
Your medications must be working

For years I had the “jeep thing” sticker on the back of the K5, with the word Jeep replaces with “rust”
Jeep guys didn’t care for that much...

Unfortunately I don't see that happening... even if they try to compete with a Hummer or something, it will never have a removable roof doors etc. it will just be another crossover with some stickers at best.

Actually I think your wrong. I think the new Hummer is jeep competition.

Says open roof and removable doors....

It would be nice if this ignited the ware again over the offroad market...no International in the mix this time. I'm not in the market for a new Blazer but man It would be nice if GM grew some balls and put out a new K5. I'm not a Ford guy but I always liked the old 1st gen Bronco and I think they have done something with this new Bronco that would be pretty exciting if I were a Ford guy.
Of all the trucks / SUV's ever made how hard can it be to redesign a square? Hell, Re-issue the old Blazer just totally upgraded.

Shouldn't you be able to get a press credential to go to those no cell phone unveilings?
Maybe... but not spending the coin for travel to see a vehicle I'll never buy until it's like 10 years old and even then probably not.

Remember this is what EVERYone thought it was going to be. Just a badge engineering Chevy truck.

But then they held one of those unveilings and this drawing came to light.

Personally I think they are going after the Jeep market. Not as well as Ford. But nonetheless.

Hopefully the new Bronco will "inspire" something more from GM.

Ugly but way better than the "blazer" that is out now.

I think they hit a win with the new bronco. It looks pretty good to me and I'm glad they went with the similar look as the original little bronco. Funny how you commented about the Scout. I was just watching a YouTube video on a twin turbo IH a guy had and they were talking IH history and about how Ford basically just stole the design straight from IH.

I watched that twin turbo scout video.
Kinda cool.

I was wide awake at 3 am,and was watching the "overnight news" (CBS ?),and they had a segment on the "New Bronco",showed one going thru baha desert conditions about 60 mph repeatedly..
The reporter stated "prices will range from $30,000 to $50,000 depending on options levels....to me it looked a lot like a second generation IHC Scout from the front..

I guess it is now or never because the electric cars are coming...As long as gasoline is $2.00 we don't care very much but if November brings on the "green revolution" the car companies will be beaten into submission and gas will be back up high again.

And cue the fanboys... Something like a million pre orders already taken since yesterday I'm seeing on my feed today. Keep in mind the pre-order is at a $100 a pop.

I like the idea of it, but the shape looks awful familiar from the rear 3/4 view. Well, except for the landscape edging fender flares. That's ford engineering right there.

It's still IFS. We all know how well the FJ Cruiser did in dethroning the Wrangler with it's retro styling and IFS setup.

Will it wheel sure. Will it work on the rocks like a solid axle rig? We got a good guess at that one.

Would I be happy with a new K5? Probably not. Because just like ford I don't see GM breaking new ground to compete against the Wrangler. If they did come out with one it would be a badge engineered rebody of a Colorado, complete with the IFS. Why bother?

My takeaway from the Bronco reveal is that there are some smart dudes in marketing and planning at Ford. They have teased this thing for years now and generated this now pent up demand that is generating orders. Genius.

Ironically the true masters at automotive marketing teased a 392 hemi Wrangler early the same day. Lol
