3.08s / SM465 / 305 / 33s & 2" lift ... will it be tolerable?

Yeah i have to agree after looking at more pictures it does look like a 4". The tires are what deceived me, they don't have the typical balloon look a 33 usually does.

How much time does it see off-road? It doesn't rub on the street because the sway bar is on. With no sway bar, articulating off-road you can rub 33's with 4" lift, probably 6". How much lift for a certain size tire is a 1980's question.

not enough...you are correct, it still has the sway bar. it needs lift fo sho.

1st: damn that truck is sexy!

2nd: I'm not sure I caught where you live? If it's primarily flat, you'll be fine with the gearing. Keeping in mind that granny low is 6.55, so no problem getting off the light. Just an issue if climbing a hill like everyone else has said.

I have the sm465 and 33's and have gone from 3.73 to 4.11 and, with either gearing, have not once had to downshift on the highway (even up a 7% grade). I assume you'd be doing some shifting, though. Also, I don't have a lift and roll 33's; just takes a quick snip of the inside front portion of the lower fender.

Finally, not sure the height of your garage door, but I measured my "factory" house to fit my K5 with 4" lift and 35's. Still have yet to do the work. Also remember that every inch of tire only lifts the truck 1/2 of that.
