Other than being an attention whore and a know-it-all, you sure used up quite a bit of bandwidth on this site with your pics.

Last time I checked Stephen did not put a bandwidth limit on our memberships and your argument is no good as you have also supported the wasting of said bandwidth by posting over and over aboot locking this thread.:D.

Almost forgot to PAD while I was here to waste more bandwidth:D.

Oh god...manny you have some serious reading to do!
Have fun...

I made it to page 2 Avery and had to stop. I couldn't focus anymore. So far, I cannot see why the thread needs to be locked. It seems simple enough. You decided a change, worked an agreement, your $$$ source fell through, you want to sell you truck to make the difference, install some running gear to make it more attractive. Then you start to wanna keep it.

Seems simple enough. I'll read more tomorrow.

When are you arriving in Texas? I'd like to hook up with you. I don't mind taking a drive and I'd like you to see my truck.

Ira,

Any man who has a shaggy dash mat and a candy cane strip drive shaft needs mercy and compassion,
utjeha.gif
, not a kick in the nuts.

I don't understand why Avery gets the shaft every time he posts. I don't understand either why everyone is ragging on him about doing something he's never done before. Dang! I never tore a Chevy apart before either. Everything in my post is a first time around event too!

One thing I have been seeing with the younger crowd: They make decisions before they think things through or get a good workable plan. They also seem to be persuaded easily off what little plans they have. Is this happening here. Juries still out...

Avery, I'm with ya bud. Lemme get through this post before I give my 2 cents worth, or ask for a refund.

its his attitude really. he asks for help, then when he is told how to do something, he ignores the advice he is given, no matter what the consequences. hell, he drove the truck for a week with a grade 2 carriage bolt for a spring pin, despite being told that it needed to be fixed as it was a major safety concern. he's got all done right now. he's a good kid, just a little bullheaded, and needs to learn when to shut up and listen to what he's being told for his own good.

WTF is with you guys and locking this thread?

Maybe y5mgisi meant a LOCKER in front axle since you're running those bad-a$$ 3/4 ton axles now....GAWD DAMNITdude!!

ok...I'll re-torque the u-bolts and check the bolts on everything else...
I noticed the rear loosened up the first week I drove on it so I bet the front will do the same. :)

Yea, I did it once every 2 days for like 2 weeks when I swapped axles....

yeah I've never understood why you swapped a 10b back in...you just did the rear correct?

No, front and rear. I was in a bind, and that was my only choice to get the truck moving again....

Man, my eye's hurt and I'm only at the beginning of page 7.

Avery, we have to talk, son. Guys' y'all are vicious with personal attacks.

If this doesn't end up in a who dunnit murder mystery, then Avery, you need to write an Agatha Christi type novel and make a fortune. Just don't use any instrument that has removable parts that can break. We don't want you putting a pen spring in upside down and not get the proper valving affect of the ink, nor torture the paper with improper pressure! I won't even think about an old fashioned No 2. pencil.

I need a stiff belt.

Oh and lastly Iwaxmyjimmy doing the tires last is def. not a good idea...my rear tires are basically bald which WILL cause problems unlike a somewhat slipping tranny...
Avery, that quote is a signature line if ever I saw one. Please don't talk about waxingyourjimmy, bald tires and rears again. I can't stand the laughter! :haha::haha::haha::haha::haha::haha:
