lol...you guys are funny...the best part Manny is this is just one little thread...I've got a big one from when i got the truck a year or so ago and MANY more threads that are massive. I don't know...they just seem to grow like a weed!

at 581 this is the big dog, the other one was only 141 replies (i checked :D )

ok so since the swap is finally done (thankgod) can we let it get burried into archives in peace. thanks

It can't die...I'll just change the title...now its a thread on cutting my front fenders!!!

well tonight after I got home I went outside with the torque wrench and the 7/8" socket and went to town...
I tightened the u-bolts and of the 16 nuts only 3 were still at spec so I got that all taken care of now that its had time to break in...I'll check them again in a day or two...
Oh and I tightened the lug nuts to 85lbs since I had them at 65 and was told that wasn't enough...so the truck is all tightened up again...and I checked the steering...making sure the castle nut and codder pin hadn't somehow backed out...which they hadn't so I'm all set for another day of work and school...:)

Oh btw it'll actually smoke em' now...lol. I've got the strip leaving the school parking lot to prove it. rofl you should have seen the looks on the faces of the Starbucks drinking, BMW driving, Mommy and Daddy's money punks that pretend to rule the parking lot...it was hilarious especially since my friend was in his '89 standard cab thats almost laying frame and decided to join in. Ahhh the simple pleasures of a senior in h.s.

Dude, don't drive like an idiot :shame: .

4.10's...I know it needs to be lower but it'll do for now...the tires are technically 38.5 by 16" wide but they measure out to 37" by 15.5" wide...so that might make a difference...4.10's and 37's aren't bad but I'm afraid that if I get my tranny rebuilt I might hurt it again if I don't have deep enough gearing...

lol...actually believe it or not I wasn't...it sort of surprised me when the tranny decided to put the little power I have down so I just figured I'd go with it this time...everyone goes nuts getting out of there but now I'll have to keep an eye on my throttle with these 4.10's...

no we won't be starting that again...we cleaned it up once and don't want to do it again...this is tech only or keep your fingers off you're keyboard! lol

I would think so...the 700r4 has a deep 1st gear (for an auto) and 4.10's w/ 31's is pretty darn low seeing as how guys like me run 4.10's with 38.5's and it still moves pretty well...
I don't know...I'm sure there are guys on here that run that setup...search for it or start a thread and ask...

It depends on the 31's. If they are super sticky, then you will need at least a quad turbocharged 572 with probably a 300-500 shot of nawwwz. You will need someone trained in the use of the "jaws of life" recovery equipment and at least a 16.5ti warn winch to get your ass outta the seat. Your results may vary.
