CARC isn't radar absorbant. It doesn't reflect light and I forget exactly how but it doesn't retain chemical/bio/nuclear weapons fallout so the equipment can be cleaned off and decontaminated and put back into use. Look at all the Soviet stuff sitting in large junkyards around Chernobyl to see why this is useful.
Watch it though, it's carcinegenic (sp?) so be careful with the cutter, grinder, etc. Use a breath mask.
I have to say...I'm driving around in an old HMMWV at work as my new work hooptie. Has the 36" bias ply RT/II's and I'm offroading and mud bogging with it all the time. They aren't Swampers but they have been impressive. However they aren't great on the road but my time on the road over 25mph is very low. I know the set on Big Ugly when I got it 4 years ago were horrible. Thumping, bumping, couldn't balance, gave me death wobble, etc etc etc.
Interested to see how our HMMWV's with the 37" MT's do. We have some sticky yet slick, horrible Kentucky mud here and I hope they don't fill up and turn to slicks.
