3D Printing Projects - Truck parts and tools

I expect to get about 2 sets of these cup holders out of a 1kg roll of filament with a little left over for the badges. I have started weighing my rolls before starting prints to verify if I have enough filament to finish the job too. I managed to run out of one of the starter rolls on a test print just as it was finishing the print with only a couple grams of filament left in the tubing at the end.

The Studebaker owner told me his wife works for Best Buy.
In lew of some of the December payment, they are sending me a Bambu Labs H2S and a 3D scanner.:saweet::woot::bow:
Deducting what they pay from the bill.
Now that’s a freaking score! I’d love a 3d scanner.

Nice, the H2S is awesome. Below is what it looks like when you have kids and work to do, a wolf, and a special carb spacer prototype I designed, and two little elephants. :rotfl: I couldn't find one anywhere for this specific throttle body which is based on a 4500 bolt pattern but a different butterfly spacing. This is just a PLA prototype that I will test fit, later I will try the real material. But first I will run some torque tests between PPA-CF and PPS-CF.

The 3D scanners are getting better every day, is it the scanner with the IR and the blue laser? If it doesn't have a screen it will need a pretty good laptop.

I am looking at the Einstar models. I will need one when I design my chassis.

The scanner uses a phone or laptop. We will see. I need to make new headlight bezels for ReTonkulous. None exist.
Is is that Raptor Model? That's what I would get if I was getting a creality one. It has IR and blue laser.

He sent me this link. They bought it for their grandson. He was pissed that it wasn't one of the high dollar ones. So it was taken away from him. Good Grandparents. Taught the spoiled brat a lesson. It will work for what I need.

Shoot that’ll work for the small stuff I do. Currently staring at a cup holder from a car seat some friends want printed and trying to figure out how to recreate it in tinkercad. IMG_5525.jpeg

I use a Crealty Raptor X here in the shop. If true metrology is what I need then I nudge it in with CMM or comparator. But it's surprisingly good for 3.5k. I'll get about +/- .002 if I do my software work correct. I just did a larger complex project for me (about 24"^2) with 4 different scans, all merged in Siemens, a few months ago that's about to go to market and it did awesome on every step of the project.

Saw this this morning. Not sure if it's the ones you designed or not.

That's the same one that was linked on the first page of this thread. It's been available for a while for $100/pair. We were discussing them a while back, plus the similar ones that are on Etsy: https://ck5.com/forums/threads/custom-map-pocket-ideas-and-pics-“-door-panels-75”.335753/

That is the concept that I started with. But it was too large for my printer.

To similar not to be his. People suck.

That was the simpler design I saw before making mine. I added a lot to the idea, but they are very different.

Seen a guy on YouTube 3D print some flexible tie rod boots for a Kubota tractor so he didn't have to buy the whole tie rod end. He used Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU). Pretty neat to be able to just create a part that is unavailable. I know he runs one of those Bambu printers you guys have been talking about.
