4 linking the rear vs. a shackle flip and 56" springs.

I wish I would have 4 linked the rear of mine. I will next year, as it is way easier to package a non steering axle. I bought 2.5 coilovers for the rear to run minus coils. So next year all I'll have to do is put a few brackets and some tube, add the coils, remove leafs, boom 4 link.

Side hill stability would be controlled more by the coil over/strut/spring set up than the link setup.

.

Leafs usually still win this one for one reason.......friction. They simply don't have the free movement that a round spring has.

It's a comment I have heard lots from guys who have gone linked

Side hill stability is over rated.

Never really had an issue with the links. It's the body roll due to the low roll center and high COG on coil overs. Just keep the momentum going.

Yeah, that easy. Boom...

I agree leafs are going to be more predictable on a side hill compared to a coil spring.... So far the ORIs have been handing side hills pretty well for me.

Someone had a good write-up on doing 4 link and coils on the rear. Any idea who it was? OR maybe a link? I've seen it before, I know the rig was 2 tone brown and white maybe. And it was a round eye.

The price of heims is what deterred me a bit. Everything else is "reasonable but I was looking at 1.25" heims and those alone cost more than sticking with leafs and doing a shackle flip and some nice shocks.

I've heard good things about Curry Jonny Joints bit haven't priced then. I know they're rebuildable, they might cost as much as the heims.

I never really like the look of coils on a rig, coilover and struts look badass but I don't have that kind of cash

I do like that you can run your bump stop down the center of the coil, cleans thins up a bit.

I can't remember what company had them but they had a link bracket/ coil bucket/ shock mount all in one which seemed pretty convenient.

3 letters...ORI

3 more letters...YES and WTW :D

Everyone says they cost more than coil overs.....But when you subtract swaybars, bump stops, limit straps, shipping on all the springs you have to send back and forth till you get the right ones........Are they?

You don't need bump stops or limit straps withthe ORI's?!
