44" tall X 12" Wide XMLs. My build thread.

Think I'm gonna put my buddy's (cheap) '70 cab on my brother's frame, exo it, get it all ready, then swap the K5 stuff into it, meanwhile I can wheel the K5 as-is.

SRW Wheels on DRW Dana 60?

If I put 46" tires on SRW wheels on a DRW Dana 60 front, how bad ya think my scrub radius is gonna be? I need to move the tires out away from the springs/frame/steering box - they hit when I steer, don't want wheel spacers. Will the outers just bust right off? :D I did a test-fit 38" tire on SRW wheel on DRW axle - this pic should be at the beginning of this thread. The wheels I'm using are 20" with backspacing that puts them 1" in from centered.

That's a lot of shipping, and I have plenty of hubs to choose from. :D Thanks.

You can machine the DRW hubs down. Searchit!

Yes but the machining isn't recommended for a DD vehicle that will regularly be towing 5-6k behind it either or am I incorrect? I also would be willing to pay shipping on my end, maybe include beer money?

Ehhh...done right, I'd try it, but I'm crazy. It would be better to have SRW hubs.

I only have 1 set of each at the moment, and I want to keep them in case this doesn't work.

It's 1 am...sorry just a camphone pic. More tomorrow. I don't know what happened, all of a sudden the crane just went crazy, grabbed the back of the K5 body, and ripped it in half!

Actually, I wanted to get rid of the little bitty 38"s, but the 46"s wouldn't fit, so I just started removing whatever was in the way...bluggytime.

I'll have to agree.

I dig yours, BTW. I'm gonna have less sheet metal though due to tire size...see photobucket link above. That's with the crane holding it up drooping the 4" springs. Gonna go 56" spring short end fwd. Should be about the same lift, move axle fwd 4".
