I doubt 6" is going to be much better than 4". The only thing I can see it doing is allowing you to keep a little more on top (instead of cutting it away). Front to back clearance issues will be pretty much the same as with a 4". It basically comes down to deciding to make a commitment, putting it together, fixing the obvious stuff, and then fixing the problem areas that you didn't see before hand. There are some problems that will not be apparent till you wheel it pretty hard. This is not something I would recommend for a casual off road truck, a daily driver, or a novice wheeler/4x4 mechanic.
