4l65e rebuild kit

Not trying to jinx yea but I would seriously consider it unless it's a tube and fin type, if it's a plate and fin replace that thing..
 
I think your close enough to TCS (Torque converter services?)to just get a converter from them, also isn't Shawns transmission shop nearish to you, I would talk with them too at this point and make sure to get the right pieces and parts.

New converter, remove the cooler and flush it well, look for any sort of bad stuff that comes out of it.

This is on a very lean budget, I'm broke as a joke recently. As is I won't be able to take it apart until April.:crazy:
 
Several years back I was out if wheeling for over a year cause I couldn't afford a rebuild kit.

April is nothing. Especially when your going to blazerbash in 2021 and everyone says.....remember when you blew up 2 transmissions in a row!!!!!

Several years of wheeling an awesome rig has a way of taking the sting out of your current problems
