Good find! Now when you say lines are reverse do you mean threads or just lines are switched around.

u just have to switch them, its no big deal at all.

everything is stock, except im runnin extended stainless steel lines infront.

I have a proportioning valve... I also need to crack open the rear drums before I make any other changes... Jsut takes money. :D

Anyone know if this will work on a 1st gen 1/2 ton vacuum booster?

it should if they have the same bolt pattern. the clearance to the hood might be close tho, it is with my 88 k5 with stock hood, but no interference it just looks close

X2. In my mind I chopped that in place when I was under the hood yesterday, and I was wondering "how close?". Thanks man.
1985 Sub.

Just a FYI, autozone has them and they have FENCO brand that is lifetime and about $16 cheaper. The cardone brand is apparently only 1 yr warranty and more $$. Havent got one yet, just checked them out.

Both are remanufactured, so I doubt there is a huge quality difference.:dunno:

Anyone else install this yet?

muddybuddy, everything working out still?

40mm (1.575") seems f'n huge to me

so does this one have an exceptionally large bore or what? i only ask because i went through several MC's diagnosing my disc swap issues. one of them was an MC with 2 congruent reservoirs and it didn't make a difference between any of the others.

Will this work on my 76 Blazer and would the vacuum booster that matches it also fit as well? And, I do not have hydroboost, is that an issue?

Hmm, I may have to pick one up and see if it bolts up to my 76. Sometimes though the plunger coming from the booster is different lengths though.

Hey, so did you buy the booster to go along with this model as well?
I got this exact master from GM (BTW it's GM # 18029970)
but the bore is different than all the LD truck boosters. This master has a 1.5" bore, and most LD trucks have 1.25" bore. It physically doesn't fit. The bore is too large. At least not to my 1ton hydroboost. It was $450 for the pump to fit this. I didn't want to go that far, the pump I got was brand new and free, hard to beat that price. Mabey the vacuum booster accepts any bore?

The master is off various 1995-2000 CK trucks with 4 wheel disc brakes. I believe they were sold only in brazil where they have very stringent brake laws because all their mountainous countryside.

It has a huge resevoir to go with the bore. A monster. The other problem I had was the master didn't fit under the hood, too tall. I have a 1piece fiberglass tilt clip, and theres a re-inforcment rib right in the way.

thats what mine looks like, i was able to bolt mine right up to my 88 k5 booster without any other modifications. are you trying to put it on an older truck? i guess theres a difference

Brand new 1997 1 ton hydro boost booster (not for 4wheel disc brakes..that's a different booster).
I have a brand new 1978 vacuum booster for a 3/4 ton pickup as well....no fitty.
