Go to the other thread and read my post.

They tried to charge $1778 to my credit card for the wheels on top of the $399 I already charged for the shipping fee.

I should have known there was something fishy about this.

Brian replied back to me and said he will cancel the order now.

Here's a c&p of our emails:

Thanks for getting back to me
I will cancel the order

Nope, if you're charging extra for the mistake, cancel my order.

I repeat, cancel my order if this was a mistake.

Thanks for the order

There was a mistake with the internet on the wheels

The price for your order is going to be $1778.80
Please let me know if we can bill the difference to you credit card
Thanks BJ

My order was placed with a single use generated credit card # through Paypal... My transaction receipt showed $0.00 - It was never charged anything and is already a closed account...so go ahead and try to charge those wheels to the card I checked out with - good luck 4WP :D

That doesn't mean they're going to send you wheels.

They told Wes that there was a mistake and checked with him before charging extra anyway.

Yeah, they're not dumb. They will cancel the order one way or another if they can't reach you. As stated above, they reached me thru email to let me know of the mistake and what I wanted to do about it. Probably disappointed them when I said to cancel the order. :p:

4 wheel parts wholesalers SUCK!

Theyre ****ed up.
I saw it on their site. In black and white.
How was that a mistake??

Bottom line: we need someone from this site to work at a 4WPW and take orders from us and get the parts shipped out immediately. This way we all know what we're paying for and getting in return, from someone we can trust.

Man, don't you think 4WPW would be pissed if they found out? :haha:

I saw about the wheels but they didn't have what i wanted anyways :dunno:

Hey Wes! how bout you buy 3 more of the same wheel you got and i'll buy the whole set for cheap :D :rotfl:

Ya I know...I was only trying for free wheels...I certainly would not pay for a set of Weld wheels...

My thoughts were "what the hell, I will throw em on the truck and rock bash the crap out of them until they give up or are so fugly I have to change them out."

Time for a boycott 4WPW sticky?

YOU WANT ME TO START IT???????

.........everybody wants it....these are current

JUST GIVE ME THE GREEN LIGHT AND I'LL START A KILLER 4WP THREAD

It looks like you already have. :D

I haven't personally had a bad experience with 4WPW, because I have never purchased anything from them, but if they are as bad as it sounds, we should spread the word as a public service. People around here work too hard for their money to be screwed out of it by scammers.

If that is how they do business, they have no business being in business if you get my drift.....

That company sucks balls! My buddy used to work for the warehouse in Denver and he had so many problems with them. He said they would throw away perfectly good product and not let the employees take the stuff. He pulled 3 9500ti Warn winches out of the dumpster and the only thing wrong with them was a little bit of surface rust and bad solenoids. What a jackass company that would just throw **** away!

i just sent them this thread, altho when i called yesterday, they told me my rims had been sent, and i checked my card has only been charged $99.96, so far! maybe its b/c you ordered 16 rims! i only ordered 1 set of 17'' velocity8's...can't wait on these 44's to wear out, so i can pull these 2.5'' bs 15's off and get my tires tucked in.

I've orderd a couple of things from 4WP over the last several years and never had a problem, but I really careful and keep a close eye on them and make sure when I order it is a very specific "normal" and "in stock" item. I do know people in our club who have had bad luck with the mail order side of it (receiving a cheapo version of some part versus the nice one that was advertised, etc...)

The retail stores I have been to really suck. They opened one up here in Columbus, OH several years ago and invited our club to have our monthly meetings there. The guys behind the parts counter were complete morons unless you wanted pink KC light covers, chrome nerf bars, or 22" wheels. The only thing I got from them was a rear extended brake line, which they had to order in, then attempted to charge me shipping when I went to pick it up at the store (it would of been cheaper to go through the mail order side versus the gas to drive there). Tried pricing out a Lock-right, and the guy kept trying to tell me a Trac-Lock limited slip would work just as well. Their "lead" mechanic/fabricator was booty-fab supreme and proudly displayed his POS Jeep in front of the store (hey, it was lime green with 42's on fullwidth axles so it must be tough)...some poor soul bought it from him later on and brought it to one of our club rides, needless to say it grenaded in multiple different ways 100 yards into the trail on the first easy obstacle.

I got screwed over by them in person at the El Cajon store about 9 years ago. Then when they apologized and "fixed" the problem they broke stuff on my truck...morons.

They have a bad reputation and deserve it.

A few years ago a guy over on the Suzuki forums I read worked at the Sacramento store and would hook us up. That was the ONLY time since 2000 I've done any business with them and unfortunately he moved on to a better job in the industry.

Only good thing about them is their free magazine (but they won't send it to me anymore as I haven't bought anything from them in years).

Theyre ****ed up.
I saw it on their site. In black and white.
How was that a mistake??

X a million, Sorry guys, I read it and thought it would be cool to see some guys get a good deal, but now it's a mess. Hope all get their money back. There was a reason why I sued them so long ago. Similar circumstances, but a written guarantee of price signed by the owner of 4WPW himself. Alot of sites say "price change subject to change with out prior notice", I don't think they have to honor the price, but they DO have to give refunds back by law. Wish I would have never posted about it but I do think someone else did too. I think my thread about Chapter 11 got the ball rolling though. Again, Very Sorry .
