50% Off tools at Kragen

I wanted those allen keys and hex sockets too!

The ball joint press from harbor freight is more than adequate for occasional use.

Pretty cheap with a coupin or on sale http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=38335

cool. i just thru my HF newsletter in the trash, i should probably go dig that out.

i think im gonna go back to kragen and ask about a slide hammer and one of those 3 jaw slide hammer attachments. those work out real nice for pulling out bearing races.

The people that I was hanging out with today now know about this sale thanks to me. They also get paid on the 3rd of the month like I do so they have to wait. Thankfully, that is only one day away.

Nice! I almost bought a brake bleeder too. I might go get one aswell.

Yeah those creepers are a great deal. ONLY the 42" creeper is clearanced though. Its not part of their 50% off sale its just clearanced cuz' they are only selling the 40" now. I went back yesterday and grabbed some more things too. Now I need a bigger tool box though lol.

I just picked up a little 19 gal. compressor for $100 should be nice to roll around and air up tires and other misc. stuff:D They were all out of the 30 gal:mad:

I bought a steering wheel puller and a 42" creeper at my local Kragen yesterday. Sale price on the steering wheel puller was 8 bucks and sale price on the creeper was 20 bucks.

I'm a little sad I just ran across this. I'm going to have to go hit up the Kragen down the street from my house tomorrow and add some tools to my trail box.

Alright you BASTARDS! YOU caused me to go buy more shat  :D :haha:

I don't really have a good complete set of metric 1/2 drive sockets so I picked up the set of 8 then bought singles of the sizes not in the set. Also picked up 1/2 extentions with the swivel ends. I don't have any 1/4 extentions with knurling to help spin socket, so I bought the set of three. Bought an axle socket for a D44. And a set of torx sockets in larger sizes. And I never have had a 1/2 breaker bar. $77 bucks for all. THATS CHEAP! :DMight go back for more trail box only sockets :doah: I don't need any more sockets. I have hundreds already :eek1:. I'm tellin ya this shat is like crack.

That looks like the stuff I'm going on the hunt for tomorrow.... I'll post up pics of the wallet carnage tomorrow when I get home. :)

Bought an axle socket for a D44.

That's the same one for a 10 bolt, right? So the correct width is 2-1/4 inch?:dunno: The one in town has like 3 different 4-prong and 2 different 6-prong sockets and they can't seem to tell me which ones I need (width wise) for a 10 bolt and a 14FF. Everywhere I've read says "get the 4-prong for a D44/10B", but they have a 4 prong in 2-1/4, 2-1/2 and I believe 2-3/4 - some are internal prongs others are external. They have another that looks like it should be for a 14FF/D60 (with the extra insert for centering with the axle shaft hole) but it only has 4 prongs.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?

I did a search all over CK5 and pirate and google, I did get some misinformation but I gather by most accounts that YES this is for the D44 AND a 10B. Buy one and give it a shot.

Sounds like a plan. I suppose they are cheap enough that I could just buy one of each and then I should be covered for everything.:haha:

I'll check that out, thanks Rob!

I told the guy at the store yesterday that I was supprised he was not completely stripped clean of tools. He said they are re-stocking them of necessary till all the Powerbuilt tools are gone. It was like he had sold nothing yet. Still fully stocked.

Just went back for round 3 :doah:

But kept it really limited.

$5 square extractor set
$3 trim removal tool
$20 creeper!

Ok here's my first round of trail tools, I swung by the Kragen up by my house after church this afternoon and they were 100% stocked. I'll have to brainstorm what else I'd need on the trail and go back for round two next weekend. :)

Started out with the basics for my trail kit. Large SAE impact socket set, small SAE/Metric socket set, a set of SAE combo wrenches, small allen/torxs set and a small pick set.

Mine too, they stock 2 c clamps at a time. So far I have bought 8 pair. They keep restocking the shelves with whats left in the wharehouse. I hear there is tons of stuff in warehouse still.
