6.2 diesel

I belive (i could be wrong) that diesels like ZERO back pressue turbo or not. Now as to size of pipe... it only needs to be big enough to allow zero backpressure but the bigger the pipe the deeper the sound and less crackly noise. On a non turbo id say single 3" straight pipe into a long(18-20") 5or6" around tip is how i would go, its still gunna be loud though.

As far as glasspacks go pretty much ANY muffler with some sort of packing is gunna plug up, not so much with soot but the EGT melts it. My 84 K5 with a 6.2 non turbo still seen EGT's as high as 700-800* When i first got it i had dual 2-5/8" with 30" long blue streak glass packs put on it. SOUNDED AWESOME for 3 months, then it was burnt out and got loud. I then had 20" long chrome 5" tips put on it. That made the tone deeper and almost eliminated the crackly noise, but it was still loud. Loud enough most people didnt realize it was a rattlin diesel.
