6.2 What's it good for? Just about everything.

Ethel has been good but also has shown some signs of needing some help in the fuel delivery dept.. after Lucy gets done I'll give her some much needed tlc.

Idle is still inconsistent, somewhat longer starts.
Post a video of you can of cold and hot starts and idling. Any notes about the age and condition of the pump or injectors?

Ok I'll get video, no idea how old or the condition of the IP or the injectors. I was told it has 300k miles on the truck but I couldn't tell if the pump or injectors had ever been replaced. They don't appear to have been touched but this age that is hard to tell.

I didn't even see the stack. I'm not to thrilled about it, but thinking about room under this vehicle, they probably had to put a stack in order to get a decent sized exhaust on the car.

Too bad it's 2wd with a body lift. But I'm sure that's for firewall clearance. Clean job otherwise.

I wouldn't want it even if it was 4x4 and cheap--it must be a S-O-B to work on !--hell,I would not attempt to pull the heads on my K2500 with the engine in the truck..be better off pulling it out..

I see quite a few 6.2 "repowers" on Youtube--everything from a Corvette to Caddys,a '64 Olds, and 78 Malibu--if you had a decent late 70's Nova or Malibu,Impala,I bet one would get decent mpg and still get off the line well..even with high gearing..
