Has anyone got some pictures of this? I am looking at mine right now and the front mount needs to go right at the same place as a body mount. How are you making the front mount around this? Could I inboard the springs to the bottom of the frame? I know that will affect flex, will it give me a more unstable truck on side hills?

Faster if I just post them up again. I changed to DIY shackle buckets from my ORD ones. Those are going on my Burb. My shackle angle will be determined when there is actual weight on the springs. I wont just use the factory holes, I will fine tune my shackle angle first with full load in the truck. Cage and all.

You can see in the 2nd and last pic the Gussets I welded in to the crossmember supports.

Do you have any pictures of the mounts? Is the front one stock or in the stock location?

Ok now I see. On my Blazer the body mount is just exactly were the front spring mount needs to be.

damn you got nice stuff...man i got a bunch a junk

Few more. You can see on the bucket I also capped it for strength. I also cut the radius higher/bigger on the lower frame support bracket to allow a socket to be used straight on the spring eye nut, Ohterwise the a socket will be at an angle on the nut.

you must have a different year than me. I don't see the body mount on the outside of the frame rail.

Thanks man, its just rattle canned paint, nothing special. Painted the frame WITH the body on, even the top of the frame.
still nice and clean....my new truck im building is hopefully gonna end up like that..i got a good starting base now not a big pile of rust

If I move the rear mount the axle will be too far back. I would have to cut the floor behind the wheel well for tire clearance. I don't mind cutting most of this truck but I still want it to be mostly waterproof.

The gussets and the cap are both 3/16 cold rolled plate. The cap was a mother fu**er to shape to match the buckets outer shape but I finally got two done right. I wasted one piece of steel on one.

If you don't move the front bucket forward the axle center line to the wheel well will be WAYYYY to far back. I wanted mine in the stock location so I didn't have to move the wheel opening back with a bunch of major body sugery.
