63" rear springs in a Blazer

Check out zcarczar's gallery. He has done a 63" spring swap on a later model blazer.

rdn2blazer, did you trim your spring hanger to clear the support box the 73/75 Blazers have, or did you install a body lift?

Yeah, I installed a small body lift. 1" and 1/8 to be exact. The ord doubler that I first thought about running required a 1 inch minimum to clear the doubler. Even though Im not going to run the ORD Im going to leave the body lift in just incase I need it for the setup I want to run.

has anyone have any pics of a front mount for the 63 rear spring that incorporates the body mount or anything nicer than a modified original?

to keep the wheel centered in the well how far is everyone moving the front mount centerline?

63/64"s are really necessary up front. Even with shorter springs your tires will get into your body easily. Even with 52's you'll get into the body. Everyone pushes their axle forward with 52's. Your tires will have to be where your bumper is running 63's. Or, cut masive sheetmetal out of your body, but then you have footwell issues. Can't eliminate your foot space too much just for super flexy suspension.
