64 Vette….Rebuild 2.0

Yes, that is cool (dare I say kick ass?).

What company was it with such a warranty?

Still in business....and I heard there is Chinese knockoffs of their rear diff cover.
I'm pretty sure my original wasn't as it was so old....but still, I can't believe there is a big enough market for these covers to warrant somebody making a knockoff.

Hah, no ****. I used to deliver parts to their regular division.

Would that be their repair garage?

I really like these guys and their customer service.....I'm impressed with em.

I believe they're part of...

...****...I think it's Muskegon Brake and Spring? **** it's been 8 years since I was there. Big shop that did heavy truck work but also regular truck work. I remember there being a Corvette shop nearby.

Looks like Muskegon Brake and Tire......they do all kinds of stuff now...

Probably them. Been a life time or two since then.

I got the rear driveline parts all together now, and painted, waiting on some adjustable strut rods now, and I can put it all in the car again.

I got some Moroso Ujoint girdles for the driveshaft too
Way better than ubolts or especially straps:

I have those girdles on my Blazer rear end. Lost one of the little ears holding the cap in, did a trail fix, then finally got the girdles to get me by until I can swap in new axles.

By the way, I have been watching this for a long time, your car is just beautiful.:waytogo:

Thanks guys. I don't mean to sound conceted, but sometimes I go out to the shop just to admire it.:tongue1:

Hell, I might get all romantic with it...
I hear ya AJ....at times I just stare at the hood, and think its just as nice as looking at a nice set of funbags.....'cept it don't jiggle.

If it don't jiggle you need a bigger cam.:haha:

yeah it jiggles when running....

and I just upped the rockers to 1.6, so .512 intake, and .533 exhaust should make it jiggle some more.;)

that paint job is 12 years old now, and that was a brand new hood when it was painted. I mean new, like they had to wait to ship it, because it just came out of the mold 3 days prior.

Finally got the rear diff back in the car, with the half-shafts, and suspension. I upgraded to adjustable strut rods also.

I put some parts in, and took others out:

I rebuilt this last year, and haven't run it yet, didn't even put fluid in it yet.

I wanted to change the torque convertor to a pro-street unit with a higher stall to it, and also decided to make a few upgrades to it as well.
The 34 element direct drum, and sprag, and a rear torrington bearing to replace the thrust washer. Also a new bushing for the pump.
