67 Beaumont: The OG ck5 A-body

Picked up some more soup bowls today, 3 67 caps and 1 66 cap. Should be able to touch the spear up with some new paint and a good wax on a couple of em and that should give me a full set of useable caps.

Found them a hundred miles from home, so that’s not to bad. Figured $60 for a full set was an okay deal.

I'm confused. You have miles in canada? Eh.

Well I’ve had the Beaumont out a bit this year. Took it on a 300 mile road trip or so a couple weeks ago.

Fixed some this and that’s on it, put a new pigtail on the one signal light as it broke again. Made a solid aluminum shim for the pass side lower fender mount, seems to be staying much tighter and not wanting to pop out as it was doing before.

Put some delco plugs in to replace the ngk’s that were in it. They looked a little lean, so I picked up some jets. Went from 72/75 to 75/83, as well I noticed the timing was only at 30 degrees, bumped it up to 33/34. Took it for a spin today, still has a slight bog off idle. But other than that it seems to pull harder all around. Quite happy with the results.

I also picked up a 4th wheel from my buddy, dropped them off to be blasted and painted at a wheel shop.
