No, the intake ports have been raised pretty dramatically.
The intake has been modified to fit the heads and a dominator.
I don't think there's a reasonable way to fit a cross ram, plus, it would just slow it down (even more than the new driver)!

I've seen video where the original owner/builder was piloting the car.
9.90 index and front tires in the air for the entire run.
Did this to the finals where the car was staged "straight" and he broke out.
Car is really cool, a bit homely but still, really cool.
Nothing high dollar, but almost everything has been modified and it just works.
So far all I've done is a dry hop in front of the house.
Line Lock released at 6k, front is sky bound... think the neighbors where real impressed.

Looks way cool. Someday I want to own something that is stupid fast in a straight line.
Lesson learned... do not take a good running car apart for no reason. Every other car will self destruct as soon as you are past a point of no return.
Out of the 14 cars in the shop, 2 are left running. Had 6 going for awhile.
On the plus side, the race car is making some progress.
