700r4 blowout thread *ITS DONE!* :)

3-5 years out of the tranny and you'll be happy???? im sorry but thats just retarded. damn you must really got deep pockets. if you are going to need a tranny in 3-5 years might as well just get a 400, at least they are cheaper to rebuild and alot stronger stock vs stock, oh well...

with how much you are going to spend why not just do a 4L80E now? it will be cheaper. or you could even do a nv4500

I'm with Wes on this. :D If you had spent half as much time calling around & researching information about who could do it & for how much, (like Manny had suggested in one of his first post's), as you have BS'in' around here updating everybody on you're transmission breakdown saga, you could already have it done. :eek1:

You tell me what a better use of you're time is, calling the shops who can do this work for you, or asking questions & responding to EVERY LITTLE COMMENT that's made on this post. I can break down this entire thread in one simple paragraph.

My transmission is broken. OK, look for this, this & this. Should cost 1200-2000. Find a shop to do it for that much. You should probably re-gear. OK. Maybe save some money & do it yourself. No. Blah, Blah, Blah. My dad found a place for me.

You talk about how you have a life & don't have the time or money to be screwin' it up, but I'll bet you're dad has spent 1/4 of the time on this that you have & he already has an answer. Also, it's not his truck, he has a job, & he's funding the entire thing. All he's asked you to do is find a place to get it done. Finally after 10 days he just decides, "I better just do this myself, because it ain't getting done otherwise."

Bottom line, you're dad's a good father, & you're a spoiled rotten kid.

Just call them like I see them.

Later,
Buddy

haha if you only knew man. You come on here and read a couple posts and make some insane assumptions.
We were working on this together...he is just the one that finally found a shop that we agreed on.

Well put, if I must say so....

Sorry, Avery... I was agreeing with that line.

We all gave you good options.. BTO, GM, Hughes, etc. Your dad ended up doing the work for you basically. At some point you will [have to] take responsibility for you. At any rate, I hope it turns out well.

I think you are an ok guy, but, in my mind you are still a know-it-all teenager. Its ok though, most people do outgrow it. :waytogo:

My point exactly. Here's my advice.

Get out from in front of the computer, call some shops, get some prices, schedule appointment, have it fixed, let this thread die.

Take it or leave it.

Sheesh,
Buddy

yea what he said, wasnt really talking about you nate. i just think people should just put in their 2 cents and not get so butthurt because they think someones not listening, in the end its not up to them anyway. do what you thinks best for you and dont worry about all the haters.
Well, nice to know who you're referring to Mr.-17-posts. :surepal:
Maybe next time if you want to get your message to the right person, hit the right button. :surepal: Focking n00b. :surepal:

Opinions are like assholes.....everyone has one.....and yours is the biggest of them all. :haha:

Yeah don't worry about Wes...he is an encyclopedia of knowledge but he knows how to dish it out :)

I don't think he was talking about you Nate.
I bet I know more than you do, little man. :surepal:

If you think you are so smart, how come you can't figure the tranny issue by yourself?

FYI: the TH400 tranny in my K30 went out. Do you see me making a whiny bitch post about "oh woe, what do I do now?" thread? No. I'm not gonna sink to your level.

Think I know how to dish it out? I wasn't dishing nothing out but merely stating the obvious. Its punk kids like you that think they know everything and still try to hash it out with "what should/would/could I do" when all you're doing is bragging to everyone that mommy and daddy are paying for everything and I'm getting something you guys don't have.

Geez! What a gyp! Grow up fricking moronic n00b. :) :) :)

Avery, time to stop and put down the peace pipe and step back into reality. BUDDY is right. You need to step out of your shoes, go back and reread the whole thread, and then come back to your senses. :)

I agree. Avery has a tendency to drag threads on and on and on and on, all while beating the dead horse over and over and over and over.

Lets see how Big A deals with his life's "little problems" when mommy and daddy aren't around anymore. Chances are, he'll probably be so lost, he won't be able to tell the difference from his asshole from a hole in the ground.

Hey Wes,

It's alright. Don't get yourself riled up over all this. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink. I know it's frustrating when you tell someone something that's obvious and they just do what they want, then get mad because they didn't listen to begin with, but that's with life. I like Avery. He's a good kid and has potentional, but he's just in a stubborn streak right now, so I chose to back off. I don't want to see him lose money or go down a wrong path. I don't want to lead him down a wrong path, but if he choses to do something that is different and not what we feel, then oh well. He just has to stop rubbin' salt with his decisions. On the internet he's safe. In person, is a whole different ball game.

Peace!

Manny

lol you guys are hilarious. Listen up folks...this is the first time that "mommy and daddy" have ever done something like this and the only reason they are able to do so is because of an outside situation that I'm not going to talk about on here.
I pay for everything on that truck. period....end of story.
Although the truck is basically a big toy when it comes down to it its my dd and only form of transportation so it needs to be taken care of.

Wes...you misunderstood me...I said you had a ton of knowledge and you also know how to dish it out...I didn't mean anything by it other than you know a lot and aren't afraid to smack people back into shape while sharing it.

Oh btw Buddy, or w/e the fock your name is. I was the one driving around to all the tranny shops and calling them all day long. I found numerous places that I could have gone to but b/c I'm not footing the bill up front for this one I didn't want to make the final decision. Thats why my dad picked the shop.

Great shot Brian.

So Avery, rather than carry this on any farther, why don't you just make your decision based on all this info. Then post up about it again when your wheelin'

Good luck with that
