Oh btw Buddy, or w/e the fock your name is. I was the one driving around to all the tranny shops and calling them all day long. I found numerous places that I could have gone to but b/c I'm not footing the bill up front for this one I didn't want to make the final decision. Thats why my dad picked the shop.
First off, don't curse at me. I don't stand for that, & never have I cursed at you.
Secondly, & let me repeat
Get out from in front of the computer!
Let's see -

The saga begins - What to do! What to do!
I noticed this thread a week ago, & thought, man that sucks, he should get some good advice here & because it's his only transportation, it'll be done within a few days.
Don't notice the post again until...
03/29/07
I look into it because I think, "Oh no, not the
3/4 ton swap saga all over!" Sure enough, there's Avery asking for all this advice, not taking it, asking more questions, arguing with the answers, dragging this post into the nether regions of the intraweb.
So then, I post up my opinion.
Which I do have to say is right on the money. No doubt about it.

So apparently, you stayed up til 1:30 am, updating the board about this, slept in 'til 9:30-10:00, decided to go to AAMCO on nate's advice, were blown away at their estimate, came back to update us (AGAIN),

& ask MORE questions about what you should do, maybe ate lunch, left to get a couple more estimates, came back home & started getting all butt-hurt about Wes' comments. There were 11, count them, comments during you're "lunch break" of two hours.
I'm pretty sure that if my only form of transportation was broken down beyond my ability, (not likely), or motivation, (not bloody likely), to repair, I could find a shop around town to do that work WITHIN those two hours I took for lunch.
I won't even count the comments that you made after 6:00. During that time, I would've had the transmission laying on the driveway. Ready to be hauled in the morning, (oh, that'd be this morning), into the shop I found during lunch. Or just in my garage where I'd take a stab at it.
But maybe I have mixed up priorities.
Today -

Again, up til 1:00 am, asking the same questions that had been answered before, and letting us all know that he's right & we're all wrong.
Today 10:28 AMAvery4jc
Today 10:32 AMAvery4jc
Today 08:37 PMAvery4jc
And after this time it's all the same.
Obviously, he had something to do today, maybe he was scheduled to work, maybe this, maybe that. Whatever.
I'd be lining up the parts for the rebuild tonight & getting a good night's sleep to rebuild & re-install the transmission on saturday, but I guess Avery got burned out on hard work during the previously mentioned 3/4 ton swap saga.
But he definitely didn't get tired of milking this forum for answers that he could find in 2 minutes of searching, or posting up a million nonsensical responses like,
haha if you only knew man. You come on here and read a couple posts and make some insane assumptions.
We were working on this together...he is just the one that finally found a shop that we agreed on.
, that just prove how immature & irresponsible he really is.
Dude, aren't you tired of not being able to drive you're truck now for over a week, whilst having the means to fix it the ENTIRE time.
I will repeat,
If you had spent half as much time calling around & researching information about who could do it & for how much, (like Manny had suggested in one of his first post's), as you have BS'in' around here updating everybody on you're transmission breakdown saga, you could already have it done.
Later,
Buddy
