71 Chevelle SS clone - 8.1L Swap

Pretty sure they are rotten, but I haven't seen the truck in daylight yet. The transporter dropped it off for me and left the key in the ignition. I got home late.

If they are any good you are free to take them.

Here are some pics of the greaseball. Runs mint but has an intermittent cam sensor fault (common on the early 8.1L engines). Pics of the fenders for Dean as well. The truck is definitely not in great shape, but I still think I can part it out for more than I paid for it...

Man to bad the fenders aren’t the same colour as the doors... looks to be my colour. Not sure those fenders would be worth while getting painted. If you’re parting it out I’d sure be interested in the grill and front bumper.

Happy Birthday!:waytogo:

The grille and front bumper are both in pretty decent shape. The lower valence has been cut for the plow mounts though. You can have them both for $150 if you wanna come get them? I am hoping to rip the cab off and remove the power train from the frame next Saturday.

I`ll see if I can get to your place? If somebody gets there before me its my loss.
Thanks!

Got my medium duty AC/PS bracket, alternator bracket and a brand new medium duty water pump last night! The brackets both need cleaned up and a new tensioner / idler pulleys but I'm happy!

I'll order the remaining parts in the coming days. Hoping to pull the engine out of the donor truck on Saturday next weekend.

Very!

That said, I just sealed the deal on another set that are in better shape. These one will be up for grabs once I know I've got everything I need. @GWeakland620 has first dibs one these ones if he wants them.

Heads up that Medium duty bracket uses that giant ZF pump versus the standard Saginaw pump. They are not interchangeable and might be an interference issue with the frame on that side. Maybe not as much on a truck frame, but might be really tight on the Chevelle. Those who are craftier than me might be able to adapt a Saginaw pump to it too.
