Did ball joints on this last night. I’ve never seen a 10 bolt front with this bad of ball joints.

Took this to shoot some family pictures yesterday. We got pizza for the ride home; followed by a nap.

It finally left the shop. Took it on a loop around town. It needs carb work, but other than that it rides and shifts well. 52” front springs are not bad at all on a pickup for body roll (compared to my suburban).

It was a kit Dynomax 89007. Very good quality for the $200 it cost me.

thanks i did not see how the axle was installed used the donor sorings and mounts?

The front is a kit from tinwork fab. The rear uses the factory 72 GMC springs, but they look to be the same as 52” 73-87 springs. I will be doing a similar swap on a 69 c10. I plan to remove all of the rear suspension (trailing arms and coil springs) and swap it with leafs from a 73-87.

yes,the coils are not much good except forthefreeway. If you have the frame leaf spring mounts, you are good.
My 71 sub has the reversed front leafs stock I think. it is now a big block .
your build is well done.
