So.....called up Jesse and ordered up another one. Got it all squared away and took it back yesterday. According to the state of Texas, the truck is now road worthy.
UPDATE 8/23/15 - Inspection! Finally finished up all the odds and ends to get the truck inspected. Took it in last weekend and failed because the parking brake wouldn't hold. Got back under the truck and found the pads on the caliper looked like this:

Time to get the plates registered now.
On a side note, the foot pedal isn't cutting it for the ebrake. Gonna need to go to a hand brake. I'm not getting enough clamping force due to lack of travel.

:That's a cool little trick! I'm anxious to see what hand brake you pick, as I'm in the same boat.
lol, I was looking at that first pic thinking "wow, he has a lot stronger hands than I do".:

When I got mine from Jess, he said it was a emergency brake handle off a forklift. It's pretty sweet with the adjustment "knob" with a ton of throw on the end of the handle.
Something like these, I would guess.
