I had figured you had thought about something along those lines but everyone gets tunnel vision. I could have started putting stuff in my shop already but I refuse until it's done.

Makes it easier to get it done

speaking of bomb cyclones, did you see what your going to miss coming up the east coast?

We have reached the half-way point...
As I am continually reminded, the first half of any project is for learning while the second half is when that experience is put to work and things go just a bit faster. Plus, you’re in Texas now. Enjoy the 230 days of sunshine and mild weather - perfect for building.

Lol isn’t half of those days exposing and acclimating to the insane heat and humidity?

You cookie eatin, blue sharpie lipped, self etching zinc primer sniffing sum beaches all should be banned for protagonististic actions on a long term build!

:deal: :sign14: :D:rotfl:

So eh, Naked Blazer at BB2018?

I don't think the heat or humidity will be an issue. The shop is being setup with sprayfoam insulation and it's own A/C "split" system to keep it perfectly comfortable all year long. :waytogo:

The issue is going to be the timeline.

The concept of #baremetalblazerbash2018 was David's contribution to help keep me motivated and pushing for Sept 2018. I really don't see it happening with my current work schedule, and a non-functional garage space. With some luck I'll have the garage setup in the next 90 days, and will be able to really dig-in and pick up the build where it left off roughly 6 months ago (before the whole relocation / home sale thing happened). I'm just having trouble imagining a scenario where I will get the truck running and sorted-enough to survive a 2000-mile round trip to Moab this fall.

:dunno:

It just has to survive 2000 miles of asphyxiation from being towed behind my suburban. Black smoke will ensue, and it will be worth it.

Hell no. One thing would break and you two over thinkers would fabricate a new and better part. It would take weeks. Be awesome but we ain't got weeks.

But that would be an excellent picture of David towing Greg down the highway
