Hes going to design some computer-mechanical system to hold the plates for him. It's gonna take about 2 mo...

It is important that the square nuts be....squared, before welding. Glad I got that squared-away...
Super-slow progress, but 4 are welded into place permanently, and are also "squared" to each other... looks good!!

OCD much? Will you be matching bolts with nuts, so that each bolt when torqued will be square as well?

You could always use index washers to fix the hex head orientation issues that will keep you up at night. You know a machinist...you know it will bother you...you know there is a machining solution...
