On a side note:

Veronica drove the Tundra w/ the parking brake on, for a few days.
The rear drums, had spot-weled certain parts together....

Women... :doah:

so little carb update. went to my flex test spot and was UNABLE to make the truck sputter at all.

I had it up like this for about 5 mins and it was just running like normal. Not sure what angle that is but i would say initial testing is good.

I've been watching your progress, I'm also curious about the carb because that's the same one I have. And mine wants to bog down every chance it gets looking forward to some trail tested results

Do you think the crossover tube thing that you added made the difference?

That tube make a world of difference for sidehills on this CARB.
The Qjet takes advantage of such a tube in the steep hills because the vents are fore and aft.

So basically the tube works and I need to make one...:pimp:

Didnt you say you had a 1406??

Or switch to diesel.

I actually entertained that idea for a while. Getting a plain ole 6.2 to shove in. I dont really need all that much power, and the torque would be nice, and the added mpg

I think its a 1406. 600cfm elec choke 4 barrel.

yeah seems the tube works. I want to get it out on the trail to see for sure, but i have high hopes

It's fun to see you having so much fun!

Where did you get the upper bronze bushings for the D60?

BTW: It was never covered when you were shopping for tires after your D60 purchase, but with a front open you are more than fine with 30 spl. outers and hubs. Once you are locked up and doubled........don't wait for breakage, just upgrade.

Another suggestion, just buy a 10 spl. NP205 and convert it to 32 spl. It's easy and the same price as a 32 spl. NP205 (like was mentioned). While it is apart you can grind the shift rod for front digs.

I got the bronze bushings from C&M performance machine. MAD MAC is the pirate vendor for em.

And thanks for the suggestions!

I noticed i never posted pics of my ghetto fab steering box brace i made a while ago. It helps, but my frame is so DOMINATED that i need to cut it out and box it in. When i got the truck it had the repair kit booger welded on, and im pretty sure they didnt do it right. you can see cracks all over, and its all bad.

But this is getting me by for now.

Best i could do with Flux core wire.
