73-80 front end on 84?

Ok I know there has been a lot of post on putting a newer style (81 to 91) front end on older trucks but this is the other way around, what I want to know is if i could put the older style (73-80) style front end on my 1984 burb as far as i know just the wiper's are diffrent because the older front end dose not have a cowl cover and hte hood goses all the way to the window covering the wipers, so what mods if any would I have to do to make it work?

73-80 , the hood hinges and everything is mounted on the fender .

81 up , hinges mount on cowl , springs between hood and fender .

So no mods to the wipers or cowl to fit the older front end?

I've only ever had the older style, but based on what's said here, seems like if you swap hood and fenders from the donor truck it would work ok...but I don't know if the cowl is going to interfere with the old-style hood...

The cowl cover comes off on the 80's models .

You will need the wiper transmission (linkage) and pivots from the donor '70s truck as the studs for the wiper arms are shorter. I've done this conversion, I put an '84 cab on my '79 K10.
