I was actually thinking I'd get some plate, mill a slot for an in-cab led light and welded it in.

Indeed.
So I bought that open diff like 4 weeks ago from a guy off pirate. After I sent the money he disappears and doesn't sign in anymore. I thought for sure I'd never see my money or the part again.
Figured I'd launch a d day attack when it was beyond 3 weeks. If he would have said "hey I've had some problem" or so on I would be totally cool with it but I got no response.
So I hunted him down. I'm pretty good at it lol.
I found his relatives of some sort off a online obituary and next thing you know the package shows up lol.

This thing is killing me. I feel like I should have just built a damn buggy at this point.
I'm totally over this cage. It's been way too long of a project and I just can't seem to finish it. At every step it's ****ed so I have to unfuck it and make it work how it should be done.
Got the A pillars in now...what a nightmare.

People wonder why it's so expensive
Yup. It's a real pain in the ass. I guess more experience and better tooling would help a lot.
It's hard because I've hit so many walls. I think it's realistic to finish it this weekend.
I have an interview Friday so another 3 day weekend for me.

Locally. It's 10 minutes from my house and on the way to school. The want is strong with this one.

It would be perfect. Most importantly it's the type of job I want, instrument technician.
This semester I ended up having to go straight to the advanced classes but in hindsight it's giving me the hands on experience I need for this job. I'm really hoping I land it.
It would make my stay here bearable for the time being.

Haha yeah a little progress. Got parts showing up and what not. Finished tacking in the A pillar today.
Also spaced the waterpump pulley and it worked perfectly so I'm ready for a belt.
I'm real close to being able to start it.
Other then that I've been aggressively trying to find a new job and school is going full bore right now.

Got some parts in. All I need is a few more parts and I'm ready to put gas in it...
