73 K20....crossmember time

Didn't get a whole lot done today. Had my bench test for the mill and then got new carpets in the house. Gotta redo a bathroom tomorrow. This is cutting into my minimal usual progress!

Getting real custom up in here. I'd really like to tuck that crossover pipe right where it is...anyone think I can get away with wrapping that tube to keep rubbing from doing damage?

Give yourself little more clearance and wrap it in header wrap

Sounds good. Hard to see but it's actually got about an .125" all the way around. I'm pretty happy with it. Thinking I be able to put a 45 degree elbow on that and kick back up to meet the other side.

I believe that the heat would be the bigger concern. I know that wrap will do a good job, it can cause corrosion problems, but at least you are looking at a straight section of pipe, not the collector of a header.

Yeah I've heard corrosion can happen...luckily we don't have any salt but if it lasts a few years I'm more then happy!

It doesn't need to be that tight. If you get a rock up that high, you are going to have WAAAAAAYYYYY bigger problems!
