If it's burning up to the tip like that it sounds like either your power's way high or your speed is way low. You'll probably need to recalibrate your settings going from flux to gas.

I triple checked that it's right and set on mig gun, not spool.
Oddly the manual says the wire is feeding from the bottom of the spool, counter clockwise when in reality I'm feeding clockwise. I don't see how it would work any other way. Perhaps chinglish

Yeah I dialed in for the c25 gas and wire size...funny thing is it ran a few decent welds and now all this trouble...

May want to double check your manual. You probably should be feeding that wire from the bottom of the spool. And mig gun vs spool seems kinda ambiguous as there are spool guns - used for AL welding. What machine are you using?

I totally can't figure out why that happened. I'm guessing that when I pulled the wire through the ass end of the gun the tip of it broke off. That hollow wire is pretty fragile.
Got that out of my system lol.
