What 100 micron filter? I thought we needed to run the in tank sock and then a 30? Maybe I didn't read it right.

In what they describe as the perfect setup, its 100 micron, fuel pump and then closest to motor 30 micron.

Lol the cheapest 100 micron filter is the fitech one. I suppose ill be buying that one haha.

that sounds like a huge PITA. What pump are you running and what size inlet/outlet? -6?

so with the Tahoe pump how are you suppose to run a 100 micron -10an filter pre-pump?

Well they always think of it in terms of non oem I guess you could say. Their fuel command center thing and all related items are pitched at the out of tank pump guys, figuring if you came from a carb you wouodnt have an in tank pump. We're of course mixing it up with oem stuff. Not sure what the t bag before the pump is worth but if its good enough from factory then im good with it. Its probably over the top to do a 100 then 30 micron filter. Maybe I shoild call tomorrow. I dont want to spend any more then I need to...

The way I look at it is the 100 micron is for saving the fuel pump and the 30 micron is for saving the fuel injectors.

When I read the directions it said to run the 30 micron after the pump for an in tank setup. It's all -6 an from the sender, through the filter up to the throttle body. The sock is designed for the pump so I don't see why it would be an issue in this application.

I can tell y'all what I did when I installed the TPI in my truck. I ran -6an braided line from the tank all the way up to the fuel rail. I'm running a stock fuel pump for an 89 camaro with TPI. At the sending unit I have some adapters to go from the stock o-ring fitting to -6an fitting, I don't have a link to these. I'm running a stock filter which is 10 micron, the duralast part number is ff3504dl and I'm using these fittings to adapt the -6an fittings to the filter https://www.summitracing.com/parts/ear-at991955erl .

So far I haven't had any problems with it, and I've had it that way since 2009 or 2010 and I can go to any local parts store and get a replacement filter. I plan to keep my fuel system this way when I install the big block also, and will probably go with a fitech unit.

It's night and day. Wish I could put a few though the drive train lol. I hate having from the engine on down to the trans just open frame with no support but it's probably ok.

You can drive beams through the drivetrain, but subsequent operability is not guaranteed.

Must have been a clicking mofo with torn boots

Oh yeah super bad. It was like the riverdance show every time i cranked it to the left.

The cv end got stuck in there. Luckily it was easy to pry out.

I suppose I forgot about the trans fluid. I let about 3 quarts of liberal tears get onto the street on accident lol.

You mean organic gluten free non gmo recycled earth water? Lol

:doah:

I understand why some people eat organic food products. But why do people care if they're wearing food-grade organic cotton? What do they hope to accomplish by refusing to buy normal clothing? Growing and making inedible things using a standard developed for food growers sounds like a marketing ploy. Is there something I'm missing? :dunno:

Better douche it down with some California approved brake clean to make them happy. Lol

Soapy water? I'm not sure what's left once you get past all the certifications that Eric mentioned. :dunno:

Though he forgot to mention that it also should be fair trade. We'd hate to have unfairly treated solvents in our organic cleaning chemicals... :haha:
