The leaf springs fit okay? I remember fighting the front a little but worked out nicely for me.
Yeah, the new pin ord sent with the zero rate add a leaf was a little big but like you said, a little drill persuasion did the trick. Once I got the right bushings it all went in no problem.

I actually reused the original front springs. I'm hoping it wont be too "tail up when everything goes on, if so, I'll replace em then

on to brake and fuel lines. I guess I will just go with a single supply line and no return since we have no emissions testing around here to worry about. i'm hoping to find a supplier who will just sell the single line as most places I have found sell them together. going to spend the rest of the weekend helping my younger son with his new "project car". at least I sired one gear head, the oldest is strictly a wheelman.

2 thoughts on running an extra line (besides extra work)

While you may not need it for emissions, you may want to vent the tank to a charcoal can just to eliminate pressure and vapor.

The frame is bare, easy to add now instead of later in the event you choose to go EFI, you would have a return in place

yeah, i was going to use a vent valve directly off the tank but that is probably not a smart corner to cut. ill order both, its just an extra 100bucks. thanks

That’s the lazy man’s pit bike... mine you have to peddle ... lol
I didn’t realize how rough I was on my Moto Mag Mongoose in ‘76 until I started to rebuild it!
By the way, all pit bikes are cool,
Happy 244th Independence Day!

Happy independence day everyone! Please let us know how the mongoose turns out

Fuel and brake lines got here this weekend and I think I'm going to at least change out seals on the transfer case. I have a few more things to sandblast like the transmission mount but that's a tall order in july but I'll get it done. Then it's on to saving up a bit to order the 383 from blueprint

I bought the $120 kit and completely rebuilt my NP205...I started with thinking I would replace the seals too...good luck
