Epoxied the top and it didn't disintegrate when i took it off so good on that. Got this part made today, amateur hour for sure but I think it'll work. Now it's cutting spot welds til I can get the quarter off. I think I'm going to put the body back on the frame when I go to weld the new quarter back on. Kind of paranoid about flex and such

Nice bridge! Man, that's a lot of side projects you've got going on there. lol I don't blame you for not wanting to work in the heat, it's just too hot. Thankfully, it seems like the forecast is trending "cooler" in the low 90's for the new 7-10 days.
 
Well it's off. There were no topside spotwelds holding it on, just the ones on the inner bedrail(to remind myself when the new one goes on). I still have to separate the wheelwell part of the fender from the inner fender as it was so rusted just easier to cut it off to get it out of the way. Just a few spotwelds. Then it's rolling out for sandblasting and primer. The holes in the inner fender were made by the po when he did his rust repair with 22 ga sheet metal, rivets and 1/2 in of bondo

Well I feel pretty dumb. I thought I ordered just the outer quarter skin but what came is the full inner and outer assembly. Glad I opened the box before spending an hour sandblasting something I was going to have to toss. It'll save me some time too as the inner had a few bad places I was going to have to patch

That panel assembly looks really nice, did it make it to you without any damage? I worked in dealership parts for years and getting big panels to the customer without shipping damage (dings, etc) was hard.

Arrived in good shape, not a scratch. Regarding the spot welds, I'm getting pretty good at finding/drilling those:doah:
 
Waiting to see if they have corrected the B Pillar fitment on these...
 
Got the rest of the quarter assembly off this afternoon. It was easier to cut the inner out after removing the sheet metal bolts attaching it to the bed to get to the spot welds on the inner b pillar and back of the quarter. If I had it to do over again I would have researched quarter panels a little more carefully as I didn't know you could get the mostly bolt on quarter assembly. Also wouldn't have spent as much time sandblasting the stuff that was getting thrown out. Anyway. The passenger side should go faster

I just discovered this build and for that I'm sorry because this is good stuff, but what I'm not sorry about is not having to do quarter panels. Looks extremely tedious. Keep up the good work and good luck.
