'73 - "Malik" 1 Ton K5 Continuation Build

terrible seeing it like that.

Still lots of good parts on that rig, hopefully the yard doesn't take advantage of the situation.

What parts are you thinking of? I just picked up a 84 M1008 CUCV so it has a 14 bolt/Dana 60 with 4.56 and a Detroit in the rear. So the only thing I could really use are the 52" springs, and the steering stuff, but I really don't think it's worth it at this point.

I didn't see much of anything that I would want to use. Maybe some shackles, driveshafts, the tierod and draglink. The springs are all bent weird, shocks are ruined, steering box is trash, hydraulic assist tubes are burnt up and the arm is cooked.

good replacement rig.

Probably just the stuff you mentioned is worth keeping but keep in mind D60's fetch a premium out here when you can find them. A matching set of tons are usually $1800+ plus you have the steering stuff, D-shafts, pinion guard etc.

Just an FYI :D

This is the saddest thing I've seen all damn week.

That just sucks, man. I'm glad you've found a replacement rig, but still...lousy break.
