73 super 30 motorhome 'Ol Mitch. CUMMINS. 08/08/2018 IT MOVES!

I don't know, 4wd isn't just about wheeling, sometimes it's damn useful for the low range transfer case.
Or just getting out of some wet grass without tearing up shit.
Or for security on a icey mountain pass or slushy roads.

Wet grass is one that could be found a lot camping too.

And 4 wheel skids...

How bout an IFS 4wd swap? eh @beags86

I actually would think that would be totally tits, in fact so much so I would like a square body on a gmt900 chassis. (Or newer). That would be the best, modern chassis technology without GM's crappy body's they build these days.

I typically don't express my love for the ifs around these parts, as everyone here minus just a few seam to be straight axle blowhards. So it's typically not worth it.

I may bag it someday. I really just want to get it up and moving. fix a few more small things and get to use it while the weather is still good. Still waiting on driveshaft. been trying to figure out what to do about radiator and intercooler. I have the 454 radiator, 2nd gen cummins radiator, 1st and 2nd gen intercoolers. My dilemma is, I still want to use the stock grill. I can't with either of the intercooler options I have. I'm considering water to air cooler.

I mean, if another dana 60 falls in my lap, I wouldn't rule it out. It just isn't in the plans right now... But neither was a motorhome or a cummins swap.

D44 would work for that.... Not a rock crawler lol.

Couldn't you cut a bunch of stuff out or the way and make new mounts for the grille?

I disagree, you don’t need a 60 just because of the bigger ring gear and shafts he needs it because of the bigger spindles, bearings , kingpins, and brakes.

Yes, this. Not to mention with the fleet of K30's I have, service parts would stay the same:rotfl:

The 73 grill sits deep in the grill shell. Almost touches core support and condenser

A 60 is better yes, but 44s surived under 3/4 ton stock rigs. :dunno:

And I was thinking there was a turbo'd LS in a round eye on here with an intercooler between the grille and radiator. I figured it would work because of that one

Probably not a 44 with a 60/40 camper weight split and a Cummins swap, seems like a lot of weight for a 44
