'74 K5 build: Smurf

Wheeling this spring/summer?

Actually, the kid and I just did Hollister the other weekend. Damn Frame Twister kicked my ass AGAIN, had to get pulled out. By a Jeep no less. To be fair it was muddy as snot and I prolly shouldn't have tried. That's past the hubs at the log :(

Had much more fun on the trails

and playing on obstacles without mud

Anyway, it'd be more fun with more than one truck and less mud. Shoot me a PM sometime.

I think he enjoys his backyard these days with his mini equipment. :)
Maybe I can swing by next week and poke him, maybe ride his mini humvee ;)

It's underwhelming for people who think it's a go-kart as it is slooow. But ordinary people, like my family and co-workers and such, get a kick out of it. Make of that as you will, but you're of course welcome to come by.

Pm me your new address.
I pass by Livermore almost every day now

Ah that'd be Sweet! But I don't care for the mud at all. Do you know Ryan agan? He was out there a few weeks ago in a chevy

LOL, came here to update the thread and it's been done for me. Yep, the Blazer is off to its new home with Iceman. It has been replaced with another GM vehicle of equal silliness:

5k miles verified by Carfax, immaculate interior, total garage find. I am channeling my inner Top Gun; I mean, you can just feel the 80's oozing out of every pore of this vehicle.

That's a pretty big change in direction for sure. I had an 86 Fiero right out of College. Moved it to Detroit when I went to GM. We flew out and the car went in the semi trailer that they loaded all our stuff into. 2.8L v6 4 speed manual. It was ok at the elevation in CO, but down in MI at a little above sea level it gained what felt like 50hp. That little thing was fun to drive down there. Dump the clutch, crank the wheel and it would kick the ass end out in an instant.

We bought another car when we got out there for my wife to drive, but as luck would have it when she went into labor it was the only ride at our house. She had got dizzy at work a couple of days before and her car was left there. So I load my very preggers wife into an extremely low car and zip to the hospital. Pull up to the emergency entrance and help her out of the car. An orderly took my wife up to delivery while I parked the car. An old man parking attendant saw us pull up and caught me on the way in to comment on the Fiero and started to ask a bunch of questions about it. I had to apologize I couldn't stick around and gab about the car as that was MY WIFE I just unloaded who was very much in labor and probably should be with her at this point.

Ended up selling the car to a kid that drove the most clapped out rusted Chevy Celebrity all the way from Minneapolis to Detroit to look for a Fiero. Kid couldn't even drive a stick. I had to take him out a test drive. So I did what any good hoonigan would do, drove like a manic. Sliding it around corners. Side stepping the clutch all over the place and chirping rubber on the 1-2 shift. What sold it was the slide I did coming off of a Michigan left turn lane after dumping the clutch again. Had the poor little sob grabbing the dash, but the grin on his face told me all I needed to know. We got back to my place and he described the ride to his buddy and he promptly gave me cash for the car.

I still like them. I'd like to have another but with the 5-speed and the better front suspension geometry. Then stuff a series 2 or 3 3.8L supercharged engine in place of the 2.8. Talk about fun then!

Kinda cool but can’t hit the like button for abandoned smurfs
Well it wasn't abandoned.
Here it is on it's way home and yes it was a s15 Jimmy pulling it.
It did pretty good for the 180 miles.
And Aaron, don't tell anyone that I didn't have a break controller:)
It was definitely interesting down the grade...
