75 Blazer Project

Well after driving it for a while i got real tired of the Road noise and heat coming from the Bare floor. All last weekend i started stripping and cleaning the floor of my Blazer prepping it for the bedliner. I decided to use Rustoleums Bedliner. $43 bucks a gallon is my reasoning.
Also only doing the Front Driver and Passenger side floor this weekend. will finish the rest of the Interior after i find a rear seat and fab up some seat brackets. Went on real easy prep was a P.I.T.A. but looks real good and already a significant change in noise and heat.

Next will be the rear of the Blazer and thinking about removing the dash and going up the firewall. Will see.

The P.O. Put down household glue to hold down the Carpet. So scraping that stuff up was a P.I.T.A. Applying it was easy just used a small roller and went to town.

Are you able to overlap at all or do you have to be careful with the roller? Sorry to bug you with what might seem like a very simple question

I overlaped them without any problems. As long as u follow the 1 coat every 2 hours u should be good.

is there any "grit" to it to give you a grip say when you have wet shoes on or is it smooth? also where did you get it and can you get it in different colors?

No it doesnt have much grit to it. I bought the Rustoleum brand at Wally Mart for $46.99 then used a small roller and throw away paint pan i had sitting in my garage. No colors from what i gather just basic Black.

New Updates: Took my Blazer out a few weeks ago and didnt like the way it sounded as far as exhaust. Sounded like it was stuck in the 70's. So i decided to upgrade the exhaust. Installed some Headers from Summit Racing. Figured i would just go with the Summit Brand considering they came with collector reducers, bolts, and gaskets.

One thing i didnt figure was my dual exhaust would not work with the Headers. The angle on the Pass Side i felt was too great for exhaust flow.

So i started building a 2 into one system with the left over 2 1/2 in. exhaust pipe. I routed the pass side pipe to the drivers side where there is more room to run the exhaust. Fabbed up my own y-pipe and ended with a 40- series Flowmaster.

After welding everything together she sounds mean now. :D One thing is im not sure where to exit the exhaust so for now i just have a turn down after the muffler. When Emissions r due ill probably route it out just before the Drivers Side rear tire.

Also started stripping the bed area prepping for Bedliner. 2 days of glue removal and now 2 days of sanding. Alot of work but well worth it in the end.
Also picked up a Truck Tailgate i got from a friend for the low cost of free!!! So now i have to hit the junkyard and get the brackets and install the Tailgate. As well as prep and primer it before installation. Lets just say i am crazy busy right now.
