75 k5 on 44's....ChrisPerry's build thread

I would try moving the spring back a hole on your b-52 brackets. Your shackle looks to be strait up and down right now. A better shackle angle would lower it slightly and give a better ride too.

Just installed my 60 inch rear springs. Moved the rear axle back 3-3.5"

I just don't like the blocks

I need to use either a 10" shackle or cut the roll cage brace and move the shackle flip bracket.

What do you guys think?

I like the way the rear sits now, But I still may need to lower the front another 1-2" :dunno:

I'm diggin the rear axle placement, that's what I want to shoot for with mine. You've got great timing because I started a thread today looking for pics and measurements of what folks had done.

The truck looks really good overall. Big & beefy with the top off and tube doors looks really sweet! :pimp:

Kert's going to build me a rear bumper based off of yours. After looking all your pics again I'm going to be bugging him to get started. :zombie15:

My suggestion is move the front spring eye bolt back two holes, gain some much better shackle angle...and cut the cage tie in bar in the rear to move the shackle flip bracket back a few inches. Really long shackles have poor lateral stability.

I hope that if I pull a leaf or two out of the front pack that the shackle angle will improve and I won't have to move the front axle back any

I knew there was a reason not to have that long of a shackle

Pic sucks but I'm going to need to move the fuel tank and fuel pump. They will definitely hit.

I guess it depends on how stiff those front springs are to start with, and how much lower you care to go. You'll probably need the springs to flatten out enough to lose 2" of lift before that shackle gets to where you want it. Even if that is OK with you, you now have much less resistance to axle wrap up front.

You could try moving back one hole up front and see how the shackle looks then...might be just enough to make all the difference.

It is pretty easy to move them, I'll give it a try tomorrow. I'll get pictures one hole back and two. We'll see how it looks. If I don't like it I can always change it back.

3rd hole

The shackle is really close to body mount and spring eye almost hits frame with my fat a$$ jumping on the bumper

I'm thinking for now I'm going to try the 2nd hole.
