2nd hole looks good to me as well.

rig is lookin' sweet.

Thanks, I'm trying to get done in time for Blazer Bash. Need to finish by 3rd weekend in August so I have time to shake it down. Don't want any problems that can be avoided.

guess I'll be pulling the drivers side back apart in the morning
I hate having extra parts

I've seen some failures with the D60 front lock right, but they do last a while. At Blazer Bash in '03 BadDog got off to a bad start when his lock right up front started popping and banging rather than locking. Up til that point he was a fan of the inexpensive LR in a 60 front...he ended up installing a detroit up front.

I think he got about 10-12 wheeling trips out of the LR before it packed it in. He was buggy'd, small block, doubler and on 42's.

i've had good luck with my lock rite. it's in it's second truck now. when i swapped it out, the teeth had some wear on it in one direction, so i put it in the other way into my race truck 3 or 4 years ago and it's never lost a beat.

I want a full Detroit for it but I figured for $220 shipped I could deal with the Lockright for now.

Todays progress

1: I got that seal put in that I forgot yesterday.

2: Lockright in and done. Locker was a pain in the ass. The driver side axle had to be pulled 1/2" out to get one of the gears in place. I'm getting real good at pulling the spindle now.

3: Pulled the fuel tank in prep to move the shackle flip back a few inches. Also going to relocate fuel tank into the bed I'm not sure if I can do this or if I need to get a fuel cell. Any thoughts?

4: Installed new 140 Amp alternator

5: Started mocking up dual batteries. I'm relocating them to the bed behind the seats. They will be covered and isolated from fuel tank (to prevent any metal from arcing from the battery to the fuel tank)

6: Almost finished with the wiring. Just need to do the trans temp sender, turn signal indicators, off road lights, dome light, and reverse light.

More progress

Changed from the ORD shackle flip to a DIY4X flip & switch for easier shackle length adjustment.

Fork lift flexing

I can get more rear droop if I take out the bolts in the spring clamps, I'm just not sure if that would destroy the spring to quickly. :dunno:
