76 Blazer Project thread Updated 6/19/15 Long over due updates

I bought an Interdynamics A/C guage that you could check low and high sise with.I should have sprung for a nicemanifold set. Charged system and decided to look at high side. Plugged it in. Saw guage push halfway out. Only had enough time to close my eyes before the guage body hit the bridge of my nose, between my eyes!!!!!:eek1: All refrigerant leaked out, alot of which was on me. I was still in the Oriellys parking lot, so I ran inside to flush my face. I then went outside, collected the pieces and tried to remain calm while I requested a new guage and replacement refrigerant.:angry1:
I hope your pressure line failure was slightly less eventful.

:haha::haha::haha:

I've got a pair of stock exhaust manifolds from a 2000 Corvette LS-1 engine.

The Corvette manifolds are different than the Camaro/Firebird as they are more of a "center dump" style. I also have the AC compressor and lines, as well as the bracket and belt tensioner.

If you're interested, PM me and I'll shoot you some photos.

well i guess i did a good job getting it together, i drove the truck towing a smal trailer from northern illinois 440 miles to the UP with out any issues. The 52's were not to bad in the highway just a little soft i just had to be carful. So i decided to take it out for a test run in the UP and ended up with some damage. I found out only one front tire was spinning i think it was the hub, i ended up with a flat, but made it home because i have the run flats and added a little body damage

Read through the whole thread... great build-up!

Any more details on the 5.3L swap? Are you using the computer out of the donor truck?

Well guess i have not updated this in a while, so ill throw up some wheeling pictures from this past school year. As is approaches summer i am in the process of gathering parts to add to the truck, the plans are a blower, bumpers and sliders this summer and of course bigger tires.

Theses pictures are of the wheeling i did in the fall around the houghton Michigan area
